Data we collect
Shop domain; per-product calculator configuration you create (formula, unit price, size limits, add-ons, display text); plan and billing-related flags; anonymous aggregate usage counts (page views, widget engagement, add-to-cart events via Shopify’s App Proxy); and operational logs (installs, plan changes, webhook audit events). For admin access, Shopify OAuth session data may include merchant staff identifiers (e.g. name, email) and access tokens as required to operate the embedded app — we do not use these for marketing.
Data we do NOT collect
We do not collect, store, or process end-customer personal data (no shopper names, emails, addresses, or order PII). Measurements entered by shoppers live only in the cart/order on Shopify, not in Measura.
Retention & deletion
After uninstall we mark the shop inactive and stop processing new events; configuration may remain until Shopify sends a shop/redact compliance webhook, when we permanently delete the shop record, calculators, analytics aggregates, event logs, and OAuth session rows. GDPR customer data_request/redact webhooks are acknowledged; we hold no end-customer data to return or erase.
How we use data
To render the calculator, sync product metafields/variants, enforce plan limits, operate billing, provide aggregate analytics to merchants on Pro, and maintain security and reliability. App Proxy analytics receives only anonymous event types tied to a shop — not shopper identity.
Third parties
Shopify (platform & billing) and our hosting/database provider. We do not sell data or use third-party advertising or tracking.
GDPR compliance
We implement Shopify's mandatory compliance webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, shop/redact) with HMAC verification.
